We haven’t tested this fabric for UV protection, as it doesn’t meet our design requirements for UPF .
New UPF requirements mean that the garment can’t only have UPF fabric, the design needs to protect you as well. So sleeveless garments, garments with mesh panels etc can’t be called UPF anymore, as they don't provide enough coverage. In the case of the Awna, the big hole at the back means it’s not UPF.
