For the more minor scrapes, bruises and sprains, bring a well-stocked first-aid kit including band-aids, bandages, antibacterial ointment, heat/cooling packs and an emergency blanket.

When choosing ski apparel, opt for high visibility. A bright, colourful outer layer will help other skiers avoid you and keep you visible in case of emergencies.
