One of the best hiking/travel backpacks around
"My last backpack was a Black Diamond Sonic that I took around Asia for a decade as a hiking, then travel and then family pack. This Valorous Pack resembles it in a way that so many other backpack brands don’t - long and spacious with a broad top opening that allows you to stuff in more than you expect, firm but comfortable shoulder straps and hip straps (just in case you’re packing heavy), stretchy drink bottle pockets and sufficient loops and tighteners for hanging items externally and to keep the pack tight. Unlike most packs these days that are “ultra-light” but flimsy unless full, the Valorous has some shape to it and a stiff backplate which I love. . especially if you are carrying valuables on a plane such as whisky bottles. I could write more but in a world full of fancy $200-500 backpacks - the Valorous (on sale) was a steal that is very likely to be my new trail and travel favourite."
Great lightweight bag, pockets less functional
"Very good backpack. I use it everyday and like that its lightweight. One major flaw is the the zipper pocket on top flap of the bag. when the top flap is opened it, the zipper is oriented towards the ground making items more likely to fall out of the pocket and thus significantly less functional. It should be oriented towards the top."
Most comfortable pack I’ve had
"I bought this pack to replace my old 26L Kathmandu pack which was falling apart from numerous single and multi day hikes over some years. This new pack is a dream. So comfortable, feels much lighter to put back on after a break, lifts out from my back to allow airflow, looks great, fits a lot without feeling too heavy. All in all, a terrific buy. I tried in four other packs at other stores, but this felt comfortable from the first moment so I was willing to pay more to get it as I knew it would get a great deal of use for all the ten day and many other shorter hikes I have coming up in this next year."

"I found this backpack in store and I am pleasantly surprised. There is so much room than the 38L backpack I bought recently (but will be returning)- it definitely feels more than a 28L backpack. It has a really large opening so getting your things out and packing them will be a breeze. The colour is vibrant and I don't think it is an awful looking colour at all. The fabric of the bag feels nice and not cheap. It has a clean simplified look for those who dont like seeing clips/zippers/attachments around. It seems like the right size for someone with a small torso like me. For the price, it is a steal."

"Surprised to get a review prompt for this one. I ordered the “red” one online and did click and collect. Turned up in store to find out the colour was this awful burnt orange instead and was so disappointed! I was leaving in two days for my trip, so returned it straight away and went across the way to a competitor and purchased a nicer looking bag. Really disappointed with the range and colours of late KMD, especially with your bags and thermals!"

Impressive weight & comfort
"I was doing a four day walk that didn’t require camping equipment, so I wanted something smaller than my usual 65Ltr pack. I was really surprised at the weight, comfort & quality of this bag. Really roomy & the wide opening too made it easy to pack. The lid pocket was a decent size that was actually handy for storing jacket, gloves & sunglasses. The dude pickers we’re super stretchy. I didn’t have to break in the pack & made minimal adjustments. What could be improved? The pole attachment just doesn’t work. It needs a longer & adjustable toggle whereas this has a useless small loop that you can barely get one pole through. I ended up separating my poles one on each side but only the right hand side had a bottom strap to keep the pole in place. Otherwise great bag. Which it came in a larger 50Ltr."
Comfortable with lots of space.
"I used this bag for the first time on my first 2 day hike, and was very impressed. It is very comfy to wear. My back and shoulders did not hurt at all. It's very adjustable with good pockets and good space in the main part for supplies."
