"This is a light coat, of a length that properly covers the waist but is still compact when rolled up. Hood rolls into collar if needed and cuffs can be tightened to keep out the worst. Waterproof so far though it has not been through too much severe stuff yet."
"Great coat ruined by a stupid hood. You tighten up the cords and there's nothing there to stop them going back into the hood. . so the wind fills up your hood and it blows off unless you hold the 2 loops with your hand and freeze your hand instead of getting wet. Stupid design. Utterly stupid."

"I'm buying *another* Kathmandu rain jacket. . I know things aren't supposed to last forever but my experience with these 2. 5 layer jackets is that the inside begins to split and start falling off after 5-6 years. My old one was no longer waterproof. Great jackets when they are new. Would be good if Kathmandu would publish an expected life expectancy for their clothing items."
