"Kept my son warm on our five day canoe trip down the Whanganui River"
"I brought this for a lighter sleeping bag for doing great walks. We stayed in huts on the Routeburn, track in Fiordland, track had been opened 2 days prior to our arrival post snow. I slept in merino leggings and top and was toasty warm. Gives me more room in my pack with the compact size and and a much lighter load to carry"
"The sleeping bag is comfy, lightweight and practical. I’ve already slept in it 10 days. I use it with a well-insulated mattress (R-value of 5. 4). I will have to taste it when the temperatures drop."
"Falls well short on its temperature rating, I was cold in moderate temperatures well above the 5 degree rating. Poor down fill with cold patches, I totally regret buying this product."
"I picked one of these at the op shop cheaply and for the design and weight it's performed well in the NZ bush over a wet spring. I'd suggest by the previous reviewers maybe it requires a good sleeping mat and a warm sleeping body type."
"The sleeping bag falls short its temperature ratings. I experienced cold discomfort at temperatures above 7-8 degrees. The down filling is poorly distributed (or insufficient), creating noticeable cold spots throughout the bag that cannot be remedied. While I appreciated the bag's material quality and colour , its fundamental purpose as a cold weather sleeping bag was not met. Kathmandu handled the return process well."
"I took this bag on an Autumn adventure, sleeping in a tent. Minimum overnight temps were +10C to +14C. The Seeker 0 bag was cold. I had to use the liner of one of Kathmandu's competitors and a light down jacket to stay warm. For a premium brand, this is disappointing. Definitely wouldn't want to be caught in the cold with this product."
"Took this camping at Rainbow beach in July - lowest 3 degrees at night and then Woodford in August - around 10 degrees at night - and wasn’t warm enough. Ended up sleeping with 3 layers including coat. ."
"Just what I was looking for for a summer hike into mountains."
"Was recommended this bag by staff for autumn hiking it did get down to 0 overnight even with thermal, puffers jackets and linner we froze. The bags have big areas with no fill. Terrible product"
