"This is fine if you aren't trying to see any distance, but for kiwi spotting, the red light just doesn't go very far (compared to my child's head torch, also from Kathmandu and excellent for the task). The way the light is a strip means it just sort of glows rather than having any direction (for both white and red). I will be replacing it unfortunately."
