Superbly superb staff member
"Camping in Kaiteriteri, we notice at 4pm out tent pole has snapped. With wind and rain predicted we can't leave it as is. We ring Kathmandu in Nelson, we get the most helpful guy ever answer the phone. Long story short, he offers to wait an extra 15 minutes after the store closes, if we haven't arrived, he will purchase himself and wait out the front for me to arrive. Totally blew our minds with his generosity"
Incorrectly labelled replacement part
"I purchased a replacement blue pole from the selection of poles available for the Retreat 360 tent. This was intended to replace the blue pole that was damaged. Turns out the new Blue Pole is a complete different length and shape to the original Blue Pole. I made this purchase online after being advised in-store that I could not buy a replacement bungee cord (that is all that was broken) and that instead I would have to purchase a new pole. The team member instore advised that pole I purchased was the correct pole only there was not available immediately so I ordered it online. To date I can not find a replacement pole available from Kathmandu that will work as they do not appear to provide replacement options for the other poles."

"Not happy with this product. I’ve had two poles break the last two times I’ve pitched the tent. Have taken care to make sure poles were put together properly and no undue strain was being placed on them."

Returning an item
We offer 60-day returns in New Zealand for change of mind as long as all items are unused, in original packaging (with tags attached), and you have proof of purchase.
