"Superhero strong and waterproof. Big inside too"
"I have already had this tent a few years now and it’ has certainly proved itself. In strong wind it hardly moves. Many people comment how other tents have totally come down in bad weather but this one hardly gets affected . In consistent heavy rain it’s stayed dry. . It has plenty of room to move for my solo trips . I honestly wouldn’t know what it be like with more than one. Over all a fabulous little tent. Worth every dollar."
"Purchased tent used twice but out of 12 month warranty Great in dry weather but floor and floor walls leaks in wet weather not condensation enough to leave sleeping bag and bedding all wet Well cared for and kept indoors double the price of oztrrail tents but my oztrail tent is still going after 10 yrs I love this tent but I also need to keep dry Won’t buy again"
"Great quality tent. Very easy to put up and pack down. Heaps of room inside π"
"Used this on a 2-week road trip and overnight hike. Functional"
"I used my Boreas last weekend for the first time. Loved it. Really easy to set up & pack. However putting the tent in its sack proved to be challenging. I have tried it a few times but am struggling. Appreciate of Kathmandu can post a small video on how to do it. Thanks, s"
"Perfect size for two people with hiking packs! Light weight, small, warm but plenty of ventilation and a really cool shape"
"I am disappointment I have to give such a poor review, as this tent has been fabulous. Easy to put up, the poles are strong yet light weight, and weather tight until now. Brought 15 months ago, so just out of warranty! our fly has gone like paper and has uncountable rips and tears in it. No spare fly's in NZ . So have to buy a whole new tent at my cost."
"I bought my first Boreas 3-person tent a whole 7 years ago now to replace my previous hiking tent (which was bought in the UK and way too small for festivalling in!) While it is something of a tattered and unwaterproof wreck now (all the years of weather damage has taken its toll!) I am keen to buy another Boreas tent to keep on going with my festival-filled summers. This tent was such a delight to put up for the first time (it's so logical and easy to do!) and to crawl inside and feel all the space around me as a lone camper. The vestibles and doors on both sides means that if you share this tent, everyone has sovereignty and can come and go as they please. Also, with the twin vestibles, even when the fly is all zipped up, there is a pocket of free-flowing air on both sides with some decent airflow. On a fine night, it is delicious to peg out the vestibles but have the zips on the fly both open so that air can flow right through the tent all night long. . . The waterproofing failed after about four years of fairly intensive use, so instead of buying a new fly I decided to spend the $10 on a can of waterproofing spray which seem to have worked! At 4kg, this would work for a hiking team of three sharing the load, but for me, this fairly hefty tent has been my best friend, refuge and castle - packed into a suitcase, with a re-purposed groundsheet cut from an old airbed keeping the floor neat and tidy. Huzzah! Such a great festival tent for a solo traveller. Of course I would love to have a standing height tent at a festival, but can't afford the weight of such a thing, and thus this roomy deluxe cabin with the gorgeous light-filled lemon glow on the inside is good enough for me! Buying another one in time for the end of the Pandemic crisis. . ."
