Jyla 20L Tote is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bag, but needs more secured pockets! Love this bag - use it everyday to walk to work in the city and carry gym clothes, laptop, lunch etc! It’s lightweight, the black is professional looking and great that you can switch between backpack / shoulders. Agree with the comments re. Pockets - nowhere secure to slip your phone / keys into, the outside pockets are essentially useless (water bottle slides out, not floatable so can’t keep valuables) also the inside pockets are badly designed - they are way to small and shallow to be able to hold a wallet / keys / makeup! A few small tweaks and this would be the PERFECT everyday bag!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not enough pockets Very disappointing compared to other Kathmandu bags. Although there is a laptop sleeve, there is a lack of pockets for other gear. There are two shallow pockets inside (not deep enough for pens not to slip out!) and a shallow horizontal zip pocket (only just fits my ear buds and lip balm). The two pockets on the front are too small for my wallet and although they fit my phone, there is no secure clasp (the magnet is quite weak) and so my phone is prone to falling out. There is no easy access to things in this bag - you have to reach in deep to fish out an item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent travel bag I love the fact that it will easily carry my computer, and at other times be a substantial carry all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You will never need another bag Absolutely love this bag; a handbag, a shoulder bag and a back pack in one. Love the quality and the numerous pockets for the many things you carry around. The laptop section is really handy, though don't put your keys in here (as I did) the bottom corners are cut out (I would assume for cooling) and you risk loosing your keys; not a design fault, rather my own fault for not looking before I using it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent art tote I bought this bag specifically to take to art workshops and from that perspective it's great: waterproof, easily cleaned lining; the flat exterior pocket on the back will take quite large pads of paper, ditto the interior "laptop" pocket; and the interior pockets are also handy for smaller art supplies (although the zipped one has a soft fabric lining that can't be wiped clean, so no good for wet or dusty things). The ability to convert between tote and backpack is also useful in this context. I agree with others that the exterior front pockets aren't very secure, which means I either need a carry a second small cross-body bag for wallet and phone or wear a jacket with suitable pockets. (This might not be such an issue for men.) Much stronger magnets on these front pockets, or zip fasteners, would have been an improvement here. I do want to point out, from my perspective as a woman, a security issue with this bag: when worn as a backpack, the draping tote handles are a real danger as they offer the perfect opportunity for someone to grab you from behind (this is the case for any convertible backpack with long, loose handles). For that reason, I would be reluctant to carry this bag at night or in places where I felt there might be potential danger (this could include certain travel destinations). Or, if I did, I'd make sure to secure the handles so they weren't flopping loose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice bag, few improvements possible This bag is really nice and spacious. It pretty much is just like in the pictures, so no surprises. I agree with some of the other reviews, it can use a secure pocket on the outside where you can put your small valuables. I definitely wouldn't put my wallet, keys or phone in the magnetic pockets on the front, this is where I keep tissues, mints, lip balm etc, things that I need to get to quick, but that are not valuable. I absolutely wouldn't put anything else in those pockets. So now every time I need my phone, I have to dig into the bigger compartment. For me this is not such a big deal, but for someone who needs their phone often, it can be annoying. Also, a clip or other way to secure the flap can be a good improvement too, depending on how your bag is loaded, it doesn't "fall" very naturally. I like that it's a back pack, but that you can put away the handles, I bike a lot and need a back pack rather than a shoulder bag. The bag is perfect for that, I also like the colours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best commute bag I absolutely LOVE this bag. I wanted something that can hold the immense amount of stuff I lug to work, with a laptop sleeve, and looks nice with what I wear on a day to day basis. Also had to have easy access pockets for phone/headphones/keys to avoid digging around. Ticks all these boxes! Love that it easily converts to a tote so I can chuck it over my shoulder when I'm in a hurry. The inner lining is durable as well, so on the weekend I've been using it as a shopping bag at the markets.
