Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed with my purchase The shop assistant told me this was the best Head Torch ever for the purpose I wanted it for and that was from her own sisters personal experience. Well the sister was wrong. This head Torch throws out a poor light that is simply inadequate for the purpose. I wasted $140 + on this piece of equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for every day use! I received this as a birthday gift and am very happy with the product! I use it for my daily morning power walk, which in winter is always in the dark hours of morning. The head torch provides great light to see by, as well as excellent safety features (such as the flashing red light at the back) so I can be seen by drivers and other walkers/runners. The adjustable head band is comfortable, and the battery is easy to recharge. It took me a few goes to work out the toggle on the on/off switch for the different light modes and also to get the best placement on my head to get the best light projection, but it is now fine every time I use it. Very happy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headtorch for my needs I purchased this recently on sale, and I am very happy with it. Very lightweight and gives out a good selection of beams. I am into ultralight bikepacking and this fits in well with that ethos. I like the USB charge as I have standardised all my gear on that standard so dont need a variety of chargers. I have purchased a spare battery for it so between the two batteries it give a good life. Not perfect but very good for the price and the best headtorch I have found for my uses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best most versatile head touch on the planet! I had been looking for a good rechargeable head torch that I could charge with a solar panel for longer hikes in the mountains and also just for regular camping and night time use around my house. And also after walking the camino in Spain I recognized the need for a good rechargeable light head torch. I had been looking for some time.. and I came across this one totally by chance while in the Kathmandu store on boxing day. This was the last one! On clearance at about 70% off. I cant believe how perfect this light combo is. I was also looking for a decent rechargeable bike light also. Then I realized that this head torch is perfect as a bike light with the independently switched rear red light, that can be constant or flashing. Also for an emergency situation having a light on your front and back can be very useful. 25 hours of light per charge is plenty and will work for multi day night time use between charges. Not only that its really easy to use, the battery is easily removable and swap-able so you could replace it with a higher milliwatt rated lithium for even longer run times. Or just keep a spare battery in your pack that you can also charge from a solar charger. This head torch is near to perfect. A small clip on solar charger would make this perfect. And you can do that yourself as it accepts standard USB 5v input. I wonder if this will be one of those chinese products that just disappears and is discontinued that only a few people will be lucky enough to have. im tempted to buy another one online while there are still a few left. I also bought one of the last Orion 3-in-1 sleeping bags from Kathmandu as a clearance item. They were overpriced and so didnt sell well so they stopped making them and sold the clearance stock at 70% off. And its the best 4 season sleeping bag combo for any situation and they dont make them anymore. Also (yes theres more) my tent is from a chinese company (Campsports) that doesnt exist any more and its the best darn tent ive ever owned or seen and it only cost me $70 and its stronger and lighter than most tents you pay $400 for. I enjoy finding the best.. and often the best is not the most profitable model on the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great running headtorch I loved the first Blackbird I bought so much that I bought a second one. It is perfect for my needs; running on trails at night. It's lightweight, the adjustable head means that you can focus the light on the path in front of you and I love that I can recharge at the end of a long run without having to buy replacement batteries. I've bought a second torch for use in case of emergencies as it's easy to hang on the end of the bedpost.
