Customer Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tuff boot but no ankle support Brought these as a winter boot (ran out of time trying to import an insulated boot like oboz and keen make) disappointed that its so hard to get a hold of decent waterproof/ insulated boots in nz... These are not winter boots.. Being used to keen and oboz couldn't belive how many times this boot went sideways, any sidways action and they folded like paper, however the front shield wz great and the grip going forward up or down wz great... Maybe I can duck tape a couple of splits to the side to keep them from trying to break my ankles????

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Metal laces buckle broke on first day hiking I bought these shoes two weeks ago. I wore them in for a week and then took them to run a geological field trip and to hike. After the first day of hiking I attempted to take the shoes off. However, the lace had caught in a metal buckle and when I was trying to work the lace free, the metal buckle/lace hook simply split in two. Obviously these shoes are constructed with cheap materials. Now I'm left in the middle of my trip with dysfunctional shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fishermans Friends I bought these for fishing around South Island rivers and have worn them regularly for 6 months. They're still as comfortable as when they were new and still look as new. Incredibly warm in icy conditions, even when filled with water! They've travelled about 300 fairly rough kilometers and soles are hardly worn at all. Can be a little slippery on slimy rocks but feel very secure and stable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable Initial breakin took a little while. Found these to be a narrow fit, doesn't help That one of my feet is wider than the other... Not boots fault I guess. Good support and stable to walk in. Not light, but not heavy by any means. Warm. Have not been in conditions to really test waterproofing effectiveness. Bought for hunting and predict they'll be OK.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good boot I have worn these boots twice now and they are so comfortable really light and nice to where. But however after I had washed them I noticed all the black has washed out around the top of the boot making everything black. That’s the only down side otherwise awesome boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy enough to live in! Spent plenty of time in these boots doing daily walks around my area which is quite hilly and tramped up and down mountains through Tasmania in them and can not find a single fault. They have kept my feet warm and exceptionally comfortable through the snow, rivers, streets and paths of Australia. Can not recommend them highly enough.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not waterproof I bought these boots for trekking in Europe. The first time it rained they were wet internally when I checked the lining had worn trough allowing water to seep through. Which turned my socks and feet black. I have paid much less for gortex boots but I am a fan of Kathmandu quality so I though I’d give them a try. These have really let me down we are heading to the Alps and I don’t want wet feet. So I am forced to buy another pair.
