Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like it folds in to it own pocket Bought this to weeks ago, it has a great fit good in wet weather and blocks the cold wind

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If you want to stay dry, invest in something else The jacket is lightweight and construction is good but, as a rain jacket, it's disappointing from Kathmandu. Kept me dry flawlessly in the first winter, not so dry in the second winter and now, in its third winter, it's useless even in a light drizzle. I don't think my expectation is too high to want more than one winter's worth of value.

What is the difference between the Men's and the Women's Rain Jacket?

    Asked by: Andrea123
In general the difference between a Men's and a Women's jacket is going to be the sizing, the Men's will be an overall larger size and then will have longer sleeve and body lengths and will be wider in the shoulders.

In the description it says this is 100% Nylon, but then how can it even be waterproof to 3000mm? Is this fabric siliconized or PU coated?

    Asked by: Siddhi
This Nylon is PU coated with a Durable Water Repellent finish.

    Is the jacket fully seam-sealed?

The Spec Blurb above states that it is fully seam sealed, yet their CS staff state in reply that it isn’t, confusing much!?!

Would this jacket suitable for a Europe \ England trip in April\May?

    Asked by: Don Jay
Yes this would be a great jacket to take away with you for a trip. With the temps being around 20 degrees Celsius, this would be a great choice.

I want to get a rain suit for my work. I do delivery in an e-bike. Will this be able to hold rain while riding ?

    Asked by: RanjanK
I would recommend going for a Gore-Tex or NGX jacket for a waterproof jacket. This is only just classified as waterproof and it is not breathable so being on your bike I would suggest going with a Gore-Tex or NGX jacket.

We are about to do the Abel Tasman in Dec 2020.  Would this be a suitable jacket for tramping

    Asked by: Anonymous
I would not recommend this as the one jacket you take to do the Abel Tasman, it is very handy to have on you if you get caught out in an urban environment but is not recommended for a multi day hike. While it is bound to be warm, the rain is still very unpredictable. I would opt for a sturdier jacket such as a Bealey, a Trailhead, a Flinders or an Aysen.

Im looking for a lightweight waterproof jacket that is ideal for warm weather and protects against rain.  Is this jacket suitable?

    Asked by: The Scheff
This jacket is great in a light rain but it is not fully waterproof so a heavier rain is not suitable for this jacket. While yes it is light and able to be packed away, the breath ability on this jacket is very minimal so in warmer weather it may slick to your skin, depending what you are wearing underneath.

Is this jacket fully waterproof please?

    Asked by: Justin C
No it is not fully waterproof. The waterproof rating for this jacket is 3,000m/m, this is essentially the lowest rating of waterproofing that is around. This jacket is designed so that if you get stuck in the rain in an urban environment then this is the jacket you want to pull out. The fact that it packs away is perfect to pop in your bag and then if you get caught in the rain then you have an option to keep yourself dry. This waterproof rating is more applicable to light rains whereas, if it is bucketing down then this jacket is not guaranteed to keep you fully dry. This jacket is also not breathable, so this is not the jacket that you want to take as your one waterproof jacket on a hike or anything like that. That is when you want to find a waterproof rating of around 15,000m/m or higher.
