Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super light weight, compact and comfortable I like to go trekking for 3 days at a time carrying everything with me and so I try and be as light as possible. This mat is just perfect for that because it is super light and compact, taking up much less space than a rain coat, yet despite that it is surprisingly comfortable. It's one of my secret weapons for light weight hiking.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Light, Compact & Noisy I bought this air mattress for my daughter to use for camping during our Summer break. While it is light and easy to inflate and comfortable to sleep on, we heard every toss and turn. If you plan on hiking miles and need the space and compatibility then it is a win, otherwise I would recommend something quieter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Mat for how small it is! Bought this for camping and I got to say I was very impressed with how comfortable it was despite the small size! Used for a week and not once did I have to add more air really impressed! Do wish it came with a blow up pillow as part of the mat! Highly recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed, light, and comfortable! I bought this mat as a light weight replacement of a Thermorest mattress. It is 1/3 of the weight. I was dubious about its quality, and comfort and also how it would handle the colder temperatures of the Heaphy Track (whilst camping, than using the huts.), over the summer months. It easily inflates, and has good control of comfort using the valve. It stows quite well, in a small foot print and bang for buck, it is a good product, and gave a good nights sleep!

I go hiking in quite variant temperatures and I just use a regular foam mat, however, I'm now going to Tasmania for a hike up Cradle Mountain, would this mat be suitable for that?

Asked by: Jess1403
This mat would be suitable to use on any hike, it is designed for Summer hikes, to be lightweight and compact to carry and provide a comfortable night sleep.

I just wondering if this Matt is good only for the summer season? Or it is design for 3-season?

Asked by: Louie1028
This is designed to be used in warmer temperatures as the R-value is 1.2. A sleeping pad's R-value measures its capacity to resist heat flow through it (hence the "R"). The higher a pad's R-value, the better it will insulate you from cold surfaces. Sleeping pad R-values range from less than 2 (minimally insulated) to 5.5 or more (very well insulated). As this mat is minimally insulated we recommend it for warmer temperatures, however it is personal preference if you wish to use in Autumn and Spring seasons as suitability can vary depending on sleeping bag used, environment, clothing etc

What is the best way to store and get all of the moisture out from inside the mat.

Asked by: lansanlightairmat
The best way to get the moisture out is to open the valve and roll out any moisture that you can, then hang the mat somewhere warm and let it dry vertically with the open valve at the top so that the moisture can evaporate out. Once the moisture has evaporated out you can roll it up and pop it in the bag to store it.

Regarding question below, what does "R Value" mean?

How is it inflated

Asked by: Bubbagump
You open up the valve and use your mouth to blow this up, the valve can be closed when inflating to ensure air does not escape as you are inflating, and then to deflate move the valve aside as per the pictures on this product page to release the air.
