Great backpack for travelThis backpack is excellent and I highly recommend. The only downside I have to the backpack is how many locks I need to securely lock it.

Very Average Travel PackI have just spent the last month with this pack.... and got to dislike it more as I traveled.
The harness is ok, and the pack feels good on your back. It's fairly light.
Travel packs are designed with a front opening that let's you have good access. This front opening is a odd narrow shape which makes it nearly unusable. I resorted to top loading everything.
The day pack mounting is terrible. Dont take my word for it, fill the pack, then remove and put daypack back on. It hangs poorly when mounted. Pack is better without daypack on.
Waterproof... travel packs are always compromised due to the number of zips. But because of the way the zips on top are set, a slight shower and you have damp clothes.
Top hatch straps.... every pack I have ever owned has straps running down the front to hold the lid.... until now. Unfortunately, they dont work. If you dont have enough volume in the top of the pack, the top will pull back exposing the entry to the pack.
I loved my brand new pack, I gave it away when I got back. My last old faithful travel pack did twenty years service. This got one one trip.

Best Choice for a Travel BackpackI have been travelling for the last three years, and I have had difficulty finding a backpack that was comfortable and practical. After a long search, I am now using the Interloper GridTech which has been fantastic and extremely durable. The C3 Adapt harness is one of its highlights, making it a comfortable and safe backpack to use. Your back will thank you for it.
Another feature that I love is the detachable 18L Gluon Daypack. I use my daypack all the time, and whenever I travel long distances, I can attach the Gluon to the GridTech.

Great pack for long term travellingI've had my pack for about 5 years now and it's been through two big overseas trips, on countless planes, under buses, through mud. It's seen it all. The C3 harness is fantastic and makes this pack comfortable to carry even with large weight as a small framed female.
No five star rating as this pack is advertised as great for tramping and travelling. I've also taken this pack on numerous long tramps and yes it's held up, no holes, tears or anything. However the structure means that it widens as it fills meaning that unless it's 100% full it ends up a sort of short fat shape which is hard to balance and impractical when tramping through narrow bushways.
The lack of pockets on the waist belt is also irritating and the front opening feature although great for travelling means it lacks waterproofing.

Great for BackpackingI was unsure what sort of pack or bag to take to Europe for 3 months, I wanted something that would be versatile, east to use and could also be used time and time again on later travels. The staff at the Melbourne city on Elizabeth St were very helpful, with doing some reach of my own beforehand we both came up with this pack. The detachable day pack was great for using on all the transport in between and for use daily seeing all the sights. The only issue I had was some airlines were funny about all the loose straps the bag had (only the loose ones that would usually hold day pack in place) even when the cover is on, to combat this I just taped them up with some electric tape while it was in transit. All in all this was a fantastic buy and I can't wait to use it on my travels in the future.
