- How long does it take to charge equipment such as a smartphone?
- That would depend on the size of the battery of the phone to be charged however most phones should take 10-12 hours to fully charge.
- Will this connect to and charge any power bank or does the power bank need to be specifically for solar?
- The output is a USB Port (5V, up to 830mA (5W max)), so anything that accepts a USB port will work.
- To be helpful basic information about the product should be in the specifications, ie USB Ports, mAh etc... Just FYI Also how can a 5 watt solar panel put out up to 0.830A when a 10 watt version output 0.61A, should it be more like 0.310A?
- USB Port is USB-A type but you can purchase a USB To USB-C Connector Cable seperately from Goal Zero if you wish. The output is correct of 5V, up to 830mA (5W max) In the best of sun conditions, the Nomad 5 could recharge the Venture 30 in roughly 6 hours. However, depending on the conditions, recharge times could vary between 7 and 20 hours.
- Is Goal Zero Nomad 5 water resistant
- The USB output port on the back of Nomad 5 is not waterproof or water resistant. However, the entire front face of the panel can get wet without causing any issues, obviously within reason eg. please do not submerge the front panel in water!
