Rated 1 out of 5 by from Combination setting fail I first bought this product a few years ago, and they worked really well. What's happened Kathmandu? The latest set just won't set a new combination as per the instructions. Suggest you take these off the shelf. I was otherwise really impressed with the service and speed of the delivery.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wouldnt repurchase These locks are quite hard to set the code on. The instructions given aren't specific enough. It says to hold down the lock but really you have to hold down extremely hard before it lets you change the code. One lock I was able to change but the second lock seems broken. When I tried to change the lock code it changed to something random. It wouldn't open on the original code or the new code. eventually I went through each number and somehow it was set to 900 (not the code we set) Once we figured out it was 900 we tried to set it again and now its set to something different, haven't had time to go through and figure it out yet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality This was bought for a school locker, but it was damaged easily by the students. Got another one from Aldi which is strong and cheaper.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbish product I just bought these today, followed the instructions and found the bar was locked in the 90 degree position and no matter what I did I couldn't get the bar to unlock. Ive had a look online and found this is a common complaint from over 7 years ago and Kathmandu is still selling this rubbish. Thats was $40 wasted, straight into the bin and I'ii go to another retailer to buy something thats not junk.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use little lock A good little luggage lock - obviously a lock like this shouldn't be counted on for securing anything important, but better than nothing at all. It's nice to not have a key to worry about (and keys this small are pointless anyway)

How do I change the combination on my Kathmandu combination lock?  It is currently fixed in the open position at right angles to the lock.  Thanks.

Asked by: King Col
Instructions: 1. Turn the dials and align the opening combination numbers inside the side windows to 0-0-0 and pull out the shackle. 2. Pull up the shackle and turn 90° counter-clockwise to align the projections with the notch 90° position of the body 3. Press the shackle and turn a further 90° counter-clockwise (180°) so that the shackle is aligned with the side window 4. Turn the dials to set the desired combination. 5. Turn the shackle back to 90° notch and pull out the shackle. The reset is complete.
