Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to erect and very sturdy I bought this a month ago and have only put it up in the back garden so far as it is intended for a sea kayaking adventure in the south-west wilderness in January 2021. I put it up by myself without any problems and the instructions were clear, simple and all the pieces were there! Tent pegs are very strong and sturdy. I'm pretty sure it's a really great tent as it's really designed for more extreme environments than I intend to use it for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy camper I bought this tent to hike in alpine country and it didn’t disappoint. Easy to erect, plenty of sleeping space for two adults and, the best feature, kept us warm and dry. There is everything to like about this tent in my book. Can’t wait to use it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Engineered to endure - can attest to after 7 years Had now for 7 years. Felt guilty as this tent deserves a good review. It has been such a reliable hiking tent. I have used it and my 21 YO son has used it. Most extreme conditions in Tassie and NZ. Blizzards, NZ pouring rain all day South Island, wind gusts where other tents(very well known brands) were bending over. Was easy to erect at night above the tree line with snow and howling winds. The latest version is almost a kilo heavier which is huge when hiking but you get 2 vestibules, snow skirts...I'd rather save a kilo though. It's been an awesome 4 season hiking tent for us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tent but the fly would need 4 more pegs We found the fly deflector round on each corner so additional pegs would be fantastic

Hi. Does this tent need a footprint? Or is the tent floor tough enough and waterproof enough to stop moisture seeping in without a footprint being required?

Asked by: John_P
This tent has a seam sealed, waterproof nylon tub floor, so you should not see any water seeping through the floor and you should not need a footprint.

Does the fly have a UV rating? there doesn't seem to be any information about its limits, what about the tents waterproofing?

Asked by: Mike Hunt
The fly doesn't have a UV rating, but the fly fabric has a hydrostatic head rating of 5,000mm and the floor has a rating of 10,000mm.

Can this tent be taken and used without the outer fly to make it lighter for hiking in warmer weather?

Asked by: Rhirhi77
Yes it can, this will mean that the tent is not waterproof but definitely able to do this.

I have a broken angle pole, can I ask what is the angle of the poles to find a replacement?

Asked by: lasserkiwi
We don't have the angle measurements to hand I'm afraid, but we do have replacement poles available for purchase on the website. Simply pop '50159' in the search bar and the poles should come up.
