Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job adequately I bought this sack to stuff my Kathmandu Heli Hooded Mens Jacket, and it's the perfect size for it. The "stuffed" sack will double as my pillow on the long flight to the UK in January.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacing noisy, cumbersome plastic bags When packing to travel, or storing for next season, I’m now using these washable, reusable, silent and strong stuff sacks. Changing an old habit of using noisily rustling and disintegrating, polluting plastic bags for everything! This small size sack is perfect for toiletries, winter socks, and tidying up the the car. I have also used it to contain handy go-to first aid type of items and stuff I didn’t really want in my handbag but needed at hand like sunscreen etc The medium size is excellent for shoes or items of spare clothing. The large size is perfect for stuffing a down Parker or a big jumper or beach towel into, or as a laundry bag and has a sling-over-shoulder carry cord. The highviz colour is actually more useful than I had thought.

Have lost the sack that was supplied with my Kathmandu duckdown 550/pretext quantum ladies jacket. Would this stuff sack be what I need to replace the list one?

Asked by: Duck down 550 pertex
This is not a direct replacement for the stuff sac's that come with our jackets but this will work well to pack your jacket into.

Would this sack be suitable for something like the Trailhead men's jacket, or would the Compression Sack V2 get it smaller? Thanks!

Asked by: CBBB
Both sacks would suit as storage but if you are wanting to compress the jacket as much as possible then the compression sacks would be the best option.

Do these hold wet clothing for a small period? I want to use one as my child's swimming bag.

Asked by: Norty
Yes this would be suitable, however please note that this is not waterproof.

is it possible to put clothes in the bag and then the entire bag into the washing machine to wash?

Asked by: DanD
No, this product is intended for storage, not for use as a washing bag. The fabric is too thick for detergent and water to penetrate and clean items properly.
