Hey guys are these waterproof?

Asked by: Chunky
No these aren't waterproof & do not have a built in waterproof membrane. They are designed as an urban outdoor boot but not a hiking boot.

Customer Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable!!! Only had them a week, but they have not yet been off my feet. Stylish to look at, but very comfortable, and they seem to be very robust too! Ok so I got them cheap in a flash sale, but that made the extraordinary value, and if I could buy another sale pair tomorrow, I would for sure.....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wearer Experience I bought these boots two weeks ago -- and wore them on a five-day coach/bus tour of the south-west coastal national parks. After two days wear, an internal ridge developed, in the right-foot boot, where the toe-cap inner edge rides alongside the inside of the boot-upper section. This caused a painful swelling of the right-foot little toe, severely spoiling the enjoyment of the medium-length walks from the coach. [ The affected toe is still sensitive! ]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very practical and comfortable Really comfortable shoes for daily use at work! A good shoe should NOT be noticed while wearing it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love those green soles! I'm a sucker for mid cut boots & this brand certainly caught my eye especially with the lime green soles. Pros: Nice colours, Vibram soles, good fit from new with light ortho insole. Con: Leather's slightly new and rigid on the ankle area which will require 3/4 socks to reduced skin abrasion. No doubt this will soften in time

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super comfortable These boots are so comfortable. I have worn them for work and for walking nearly every day for the past month and I am very happy with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, durable boots This is the second pair of these desert boots that I've bought. I'm notorious for wearing out shoes quickly, and a pair will ordinarily only last me 6 months or so, regardless of cost. The first pair of these boots have lasted me for 10 months before finally wearing through on both soles - although the leather uppers were still in excellent condition. These boots are comfortable, hard-wearing, and durable. They're stylish enough to wear out for dinner or around the city, but rugged enough to cope with a moderately challenging hike. I wouldn't recommend them for serious tramping - the grip isn't good enough, and they're not really designed for the back-country - but they're excellent general purpose boots. Vibram soles and a slightly curved orthotic insole makes them very comfortable - although the insole does feel a little strange before you get used to it. My only criticism would be the chunky, round laces, which wear through reasonably quickly due to friction against the punched eyelets. I think mine lasted 5 months before snapping - I replaced them with standard thin round shoelaces (70cm), which seemed to wear a little better. Suede/nubuck leather cleaner works well to clean them. Neutral shoe polish, or even vaseline, works too - and is significantly cheaper.
