1. Columbus Women's Down Sleeping Bag

Columbus Women's Down Sleeping Bag

Kathmandu offer bags in the following sizes:
  Mummy Semi-Rectangular Rectangular
Small 72cm x 197cm
Regular 70cm x 206cm 72cm x 211cm< 76cm x 211cm
Large 72cm x 220cm 74cm x 225cm 78cm x 225cm

Mummy bags, with their wider cut shoulders and narrow feet are the most efficient when it comes to weight and warmth. These bags conform more closely to your shape and only require minimal body heat to warm up. They encase you ‘like a mummy’ and may be restrictive and less roomy than other bags.

Semi-Rectangular bags with their tapered foot (more room than the Mummy) and contoured hood are a good compromise. These bags provide ample sleeping space at the torso for comfort.

Rectangular types offer more space and are cooler than others, letting you move easily within the bag. Because of the larger top opening, heat can escape more easily.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, light sleeping bag. Only problem is that I did not realise it was women's sized bag so it is too tight around the shoulders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Coz it's warm and fluffy! I got this sleeping bag just in time for a winter camping trip in the Victorian high country. What a difference having a quality winter sleeping bag makes! I was warm and comfortable every night! It did make it hard to get up in the cold mornings though!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Travel And Camping Sleeping Bag I took this sleeping bag with me on a 5-week trip around New Zealand and absolutely loved it. It's always hard to find a sleeping bag that works equally well for travel and for camping in cold weather, but this one does the trick. It packs down pretty small and is lightweight, but I always get an extra compression sack to shrink it down even more. When I was camping on the beaches in Abel Tasman National Park I'd open it up like a blanket and it wouldn't make me overheat. On the other side when I used it camping in the mountains or in Doubtful Sound in near freezing temperatures I could zip it right up, tighten the hood, and be completely warm. I feel the cold really badly, and this bag kept me super comfortable without having to layer up with lots of clothes either. I also really liked the internal pocket, so I could put my important items in there with me. For travel it's great because of the weight, and I could jam it into the bottom of my backpack without a problem. I definitely recommend this sleeping bag for any other ladies out there that need a bag they can take backpacking around the world with them, while also wanting to hike out and camp in the mountains.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So warm Used it a few times camping in regional Victoria and it's proven it's worth with warmth. Not too restrictive either which is a bonus as I was worried about that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy I bought this bag for Everest Base Camp trek. I underestimated how cold it would be overnight in the guest houses and I really needed a bag with a lower temp rating. However, it was cosy at lower altitudes and I made sure that I also used a drink bottle filled with hot water for added warmth overnight. I also purchased a compression bag to minimise packing space required.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous! Love love love this bag. Keeping me really warm so far at around 5 degrees to -2 in damp conditions. I wouldn't want to go too far below -3 though. Colours even better than appear online, slightly pinkier as raspberry name would suggest. Extremely stylish and well-made, and feels spacious inside. Won't ever want to sleep without it!
