Don't expect it to lastI have owned mine for a few years but probably use it 15 nights a year. After a recent trip I found it was going down a couple of times overnight. I assumed I had a small puncture but wasn't too bothered as I still had the repair kit for it. However when I tried to find the 'hole' when I got home I found that it was leaking through the seams over approximately 500mm length on both sides of the mat. It's unrepairable as far as I can tell and Kathmandu were not interested in a warranty claim as it's over 12 months old. As far as I can tell this is a manufacturing defect and not fit for purpose. Thermarest has a lifetime warranty on this sort of thing and will be where I spend my money next time around. I suggest you do too

Great mat, very lightweight, not the most comfyI bought this mat for camping trips on my motorcycle. It is very lightweight and compact. The comfort isn't great, but I lay it on top of a hiking stretcher, so it is bearable.
- Self inflating
- More comfortable than a foam mat.
- Decent length
- Not overly comfortable (I'm a 73kg male, so might suit a smaller female
- Width isn't great, not a lot of room for turning.
- Bag it comes with is very long, you can fold the mat in half before rolling it up to reduce its packed width to half, but I'm not sure how good this is for the mat, and it makes it hard to fit back into the bag like this.
A great mat for someone looking for a minimal sleeping mat while hiking, though if you have the space/capacity, I would probably go for a larger/thicker mat.

Doesn't lastI bought 2 of these back in 2012. They haven't been used - I've just got them out of their bag to check them and then don't hold air! These mats aren't cheap and they should last for more than a few years of light use

a very good mattrasshave used various self inflating sleeping mats over the years and this is as good as i have had. when fully inflated it was a good combination of firm and cushioned and it is lighter to carry than some. the valve has a brass insert so should last. only tried it for 3 nights so far but i can recommend it.
