Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reasonable tent for sale price. This tent is suitable for our use - we were after a light enough hiking tent to use for 2 (smallish adults) and 2 young children. It has good internal storage as far as pockets go, but the vestibule space is not very big. Also, if it is raining you can't open the tent without getting rain inside. We only bought this as a medium term solution for hiking - we don't go out in bad weather with the young kids, and we don't go far so it is fit for purpose at the moment. The most annoying thing about it is the repair kit. It comes with a range of non-adhesive patches and no glue. So don't get caught out like we did thinking we had a 'repair kit' for the tent. Luckily duct tape did the job...(sometimes kids, sticks and lightweight tents are an unfortunate combination.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality for reasonable price. Good hiking tent, easy to assemble. Enough space for 2 adults and 2 small kids. Pegs could be improved though, as they could snap if too much pressure put on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lasted the distance Have has this for 5 years now. Have used a few multi-day hikes as well as a number of long road trips and the odd weekend away. It has survived many rainy nights, strong winds and 2 intense storms. You do have to think about the direction you face the tent if in windy conditions. 5th year of ownership and have only just had 2 poles snap. But easy to buy replacement and swap out the damaged section. Highly recommend to anyone needing a great light weight tent. Also fits 2 adults and 2 kids under 3 easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little tent We love the features of this tent inparticular the storage pockets, air vents that can still be used while raining, & the design of the tent pegs. This tent was purchased for my husband to use with our son but I think the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 under 5's) could use it for a night away. The one thing that was unfortunate was our kids kept standing on the pegs and hurting their feet on them. We might have to look at covering them somehow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light weight tent for the price Bought is last week to go hiking over Ester weekend to Motutapu Island. Weight is almost half in compare to retreat 80 and so easy to pitch, my 3.5 year old and teenager managed to put up tent in less then 20 min. Stood up strong in high wind and no leak during an hour of rain we had over the weekend on Motutapu Island. Great value for money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for camping Taken this camping a couple of times and been very happy with it. Lots of space, some very practical features like the internal storage pockets and double exits, easy to set up and pack, very stable. I haven't used it in challenging conditions, which is why I'm not giving it a 5.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good tent but I used my Boreas last weekend for the first time. Loved it. Really easy to set up & pack. However putting the tent in its sack proved to be challenging. I have tried it a few times but am struggling. Appreciate of Kathmandu can post a small video on how to do it. Thanks, s

Can you put a chimney through the tent roof I have a king's wood burner with chimney.

Asked by: Nighthawke82
No you cannot use a wood burner inside a tent. This tent is made of Polyester and Nylon. The chimney has no hole to go through which will cause smoke inhalation if it does not burn down the whole tent beforehand.

I've noticed the composition for this tent is the same as the Bora 2 person tent (which is 3-season tent), but this is a 4-season tent. Can you please explain how that works? Thanks.

Asked by: elleon
The composition defines just what material the tent is made out of. The tent material can be the same between 3 and 4 season tent however the differences between the 2 tents can be stiffness and denier of composition, design, guy rope placement and a number of other factors.
