Outward Bound's vision is “Better People, Better Communities, Better World.” They believe that by helping people understand their full potential they can help make our communities and the world a better place. Kathmandu offers scholarships to ensure that Outward Bound courses are accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Each year Kathmandu awards Live the Dream Outward Bound Scholarships to New Zealand residents only, based on their application and qualification criteria. For more information on Outward Bound courses, visit the Outward Bound website.
Applications for Kathmandu Scholarships are accepted year round, with a cut off for selection on April 1st each year. Successful applicants will be notified by the end of May each year.

Terms and Conditions
No purchase necessary. Only current New Zealand residents can apply. Scholarships are not open to Kathmandu staff members. Only applicants that complete the application in full will be assessed. Subject to standard Outward Bound enrolment criteria and conditions. Course options limited to Classic, Masters, Discover and Disability courses. Applicants must be 18 years and over and not attending school at time of application. Scholarships are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Must be redeemed (enrol in course) within 3 months of being awarded. Outward Bound and Kathmandu may contact you about products and services – your details will not be provided to any other organisations. The scholarship does not include travel to and from Outward Bound, the cost of competing a medical examination with a doctor, and does not cover Travel Insurance. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Kathmandu and Outward Bound will not be liable for any loss or damage (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury suffered as a result of accepting this scholarship. By accepting this scholarship, the winner acknowledges that his or her name and photograph may be used for publicity purposes. Entries must be submitted by 1 April, 2017. Successful applicants will be selected and advised by post, telephone or email no later than 31 May, 2017. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
