Mono 1 Person Tent v2 - Sand

Regular Price: $ 249.98
Summit Club: $199.98 What is this?

The Mono is a lightweight, one-person (or cosy for two), tunnel shape tent that packs down small and is quick and easy to set up. Suitable for three-season hiking or cycle touring, with its small 'footprint', the Mono can fit in limited spaces other tents can't. It's your own personal shelter, and the right tent to choose if pack-space, weight and ease are your main concerns.

Mono 1 Person Tent v2 - Sand is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from so good its good and waterproof. It is also very warm and lots of space for bags.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tent Plenty of space for my sleeping mat and gear. Small enough to squeeze into the bow of my kayak. Only gripe is being 6 foot tall, its impossible to sit up and tricky to crawl into/out of. Otherwise very cosy, quick to set up and haven't had any condensation issues yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really water proof and durable really waterproof and durable could be a bit lighter but over all its a great wee tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and well designed I brought this tent for one of the great walks. I found it was perfect for the hike. It's lightweight, easy to put up, sturdy in windy conditions and I've had no leaks in the rain. There isn't much space but that's what I'd expect of a lightweight 1 person tent. There is a small porch in which to place your boots but you may need to sleep with your pack inside the tent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice and Compact I brought this tent for a kayaking trip in Abel Tasman NP. It held up very well to the condition. The pockets inside are handy for your small items. The only thing I didn't like is that you can not sit up inside it but you can remedy this by stringing up a tarp. Other than that it's a nice tent that I'm going to hold on to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great summer tent First trial Labour weekend and was dry. Easy to erect and dismantle. Wouldn't contemplate two people sleeping in it. Think this is strictly a summer tent but that's what I purchased it for so I'm happy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little tent for pitching in narrow places I have an earlier version of this tent which I take backpacking up mountains to camp in tiny spots on top and it does the job perfectly, you can pitch it in such a tiny place, but being very tall (6'2") I find it impossible to sit up and it which makes it very difficult to get dressed or undressed and I have to get outside, which on tops of mountains is frequently inhospitable for temperature to be changing clothes and not to mention having your clothes blow away! So I wish it was a bit taller, but that aside, it is lightweight and does not weigh my pack down too much and enables me to stay overnight in places where a bigger tent would not fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy enough I've had one of these since 2010 (its the V1, but it looks like not much has changed). It is a simple, sturdy tent that can be dumped in the bush without too much worry about damage. Unlike the other reviewers, I find the Mono very heavy at 1.8 kg: this is 200 g heavier than my 2-person tent, and double the weight of my hennessy hammock. However neither of those are as tough as the Mono, and both cost a LOT more. I probably wouldn't buy another Mono, and I've moved on now and tend towards the big $ ultralight end of the market, but I have absolutely no regrets about buying it as a first solo tent. To be honest, I can barely tel mine's been used after 4 years of regular use. Not bad at all.
